Just an ordinary girl in this very special world, who loves to cook, entertain, and eat. As a child, I was always food motivated. Needless to say, this love for food also came with baggage. I was very particular of how I wanted my food served and what flavors and spices could make the recipe more delectable. This eye for precision was probably the reason why I learned cooking at a very young age. Today’s world would call me the, “self trained chef.” I was born and raised in India, and moved to the United States in pursuit of higher education. Nevertheless, this land was kind by offering me an opportunity to explore my passion for cooking. I like to think of myself as a global citizen; fascinated by people of different cultures, and the food they eat. I strive everyday to learn something new and to recreate globally inspired recipes.
On this website you will find recipes from across the world, thus, the name: Food Without Borders. I spend most of my time preparing meals that are gluten free, Paleo, and Whole 30 friendly. However, I have my “cheat days” consisting of gourmandizing many foods, from hearty pasta to a lovely cake. If you have any questions, ideas or comments you wish to share, please feel free to write to me at: pooja@foodwithoutborders.us.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoy this journal of food and life with me.
Pooja.
